The second phase of the ESFIM programme ran from 2015 until 2018. The ESFIM Research Support Fund was launched by AgriCord and Wageningen University. It provided strategic support with action oriented research that contributed to empowerment of Farmer Organisations in developing countries. For the final results and outcomes please download the final report or the brochure which has been published in English, French and Spanish.
In 2010-2013, with funding from IFAD and the Dutch Government a process of collaborative research started both at IFAP-level (ESFIM Comparative research) and in each of the countries (ESFIM Collaborative research). The collaboration included local researchers, contracted by the farmer organisations, and research support from the European research institutes of AGRINATURA.
